C&C 30 Mkii
"Kokopelli" has been beautifully maintained and upgraded. Always a fresh water vessel she shows like new. Her Smoke gray hull sparkles A wonderful family racer/cruiser in near perfect condition. See the numerous upgrades below. The word immaculate comes to mind when you first see it! The fine grey hull gelcoat still has the factory gloss. "Kokopelli" is extremely well maintained and upgraded, and a real head turner everywhere it goes. "Kokopelli" has only seen fresh water and professional maintenance. It is turnkey ready to go. A job relocation is the reluctant reason for selling. The new C&C 30's hull design incorporates factors aimed at achieving the greatest performance possible, yet allowing for plenty of room. She has plenty of beam which will give added hull form stability, and her shape is fair with no distortions or hard curves. The latest foil designs result in an efficient keel, and with the ballasting deep down, good solid sailing stability is assured. Volume is distributed in such a way that handling characteristics and steering control will be excellent. With the longer waterline and the extra care that has gone into interior construction, this will be the lightest boat for its size that C&C has ever built.
If a 30’ performance cruiser in a sail away condition is what you’re looking for, “Kokopelli” is a must see!
On deck we have stayed with the popular C&C style, but there are a number of innovations to increase sailing ease. The cockpit is large for a 30 footer, featuring tall seatbacks with sculpted seats and backrests for even greater comfort and security. The aft end of the cockpit provides the ultimate in easy access to and from the water through the transom, but folds up for security and protection when sailing. The T -shaped cockpit allows for ample room around the wheel and pedestal, a unique feature on a 30 foot boat.
The rig on the 30 is in tune with the current trend toward bigger mainsails and smaller genoas. This helps in handling the boat in "puffy" conditions, and because the boat will be simple to sail with mainsail only, the necessity for multiple headsails is reduced. Owing to the tremendous stability the boat derives from its hull shape and deep ballasting, we were able to allow for more sailplan than one would expect for this hull size. This of course makes for a high horsepower yacht.
Below the 30 is really different and is best described as European in flavor This usually means a boat with a private aft cabin and, in smaller yachts, an aft located head as well. Certainly this allows for better use of the aft sections of a hull, a large double berth, with a closeable cabin aft for privacy. To open up the inside of the boat - would create a more spacious interior, there are two doors in to the forward cabin which normally can be left open. At the same tune we have made sure that the full width of the hull is utilized in the main cabin to create a really roomy living room. The aft cabin itself has ample headroom and much more storage than normal for clothing. The galley has a double sink, a really large ice box, and separate storage for dishes and food. It is finished to a high degree with more thought given to storage. A navigator's station with full chart table, chart storage and drawers has been incorporated into the design.
The new 30 is really set for comfortable living, with no compromise on performance, the main ingredients in a classic C&C design.
Below decks she features rich woodwork in perfect condition with a private aft cabin for 2 and a large aft head to starboard. To open up the inside of the boat there are 2 doors to the V-berth which can be left open. There is a comfortable dinette to port with a centerline table that features 2 drop leaves. To Starboard there is a long settee. Plenty of storage behind and underneath. The galley has a double sink large ice box with a Waeco Refrigeration unit newly installed in 2008. Also a Propane range and oven with a cutting board top and loads of storage. (Rob W Ball Chief Designer)
