Herreshoff Alerion 26 With Trailer

The original Alerion was designed by Nathanael G. Herreshoff for his personal use. Built in 1912 at the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, Herreshoff sailed his Alerion for many years near his homes in Bermuda and later in Bristol, Rhode Island. A perfect daysailer for the single handed sailor.

This is an exceptional example, built by the famous Rumery's Boat Yard in Biddeford, Maine.  Rumery's is widely recognized as the foremost builder of these designs.  Read more in the Full Specifications tab to see why.

She wears new Awl Grip Paint as of 2009 and has just had a new centerboard installed by Hinckley Yachts.
