A surprisingly roomy and very seaworthy Downeast cruiser that is beautifully finished.  Yanmar 315 HP diesel with 350 hours.  Radar, Chartplotter, electric windlass, full galley and accommodations.

"Fortunate" is very well equipped and in excellent condition.  She is stored at Robinhood Marine and ready for your inspection.

The Fox Island 30 has a very spacious cabin and deckhouse layout that is beautifully finished in teak and cherry.

Entering the deckhouse from the cockpit, there is a comfortable "L" shaped settee to port.  The large Bomon windows allow great visability and open for excellent ventilation.  A custom built cherry table with leafs serves the settee and is portable for storage when the settee is used as a berth.

To port is an open area for deck chairs.  Forward to starboard is a very comfortable helm chair with storage in it's fiberglass pedestal base.  The helm is very well layed out with engine controls and electronics.  Excellent visability forward as well. 

The deckhouse is beautifully finished in fiberglass with Cherry and Teak varnished trim.  A fitted carpet enhances the warth of the cabin, and lowers the engine sound level conciderably.  There is excellent engine access through deck hatches.

Stepping below, the galley is found to port.  A SS sink with hot and cold pressure water is in the center of the counter.  A norcold 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC Refrigerator  is under the counter.  A one burner Alcohol stove can be placed on the counter top when in use.  A Microwave oven is mounted outboard and can be used anytime as the vessel has an inverter.  The cabinetry is beautifully done in Cherry and white laminates are used in the bulkhead areas.

Just aft of the galley is a very cozy quarter berth.  This is a great area for storage, too, if just two people are cruising.  The electrical panel is above the berth.

To starboard is the spacious head area.  A vanity has a molded in sink with hot and cold faucet.  A shower is mounted on the bulkhead forward.  The marine toilet is electric.  An opening port offers good ventilation to the compartment.

Forward is a generous v-berth with filler cushion.  The current owners prefer to keep this made up as a double at all times and thus have made a memory foam top mattrass for it.  Large shelves are built in above the berth and there is storage underneath.

All cushions are tan ultra leather throughout the vessel.  The cabin sole below wi varnished teak and holly..
