Sparkman & Stephens New York 32 - 45' LOA Sparkman & Stephens

In 1936, after winning a design competition from the New York Yacht Club for a new one-design class, 20 original boats were built by Nevins of City Island and known as the New York 32 Class.  Most all are still actively sailing today.

Olin Stephens once said "We set out to design a good cruiser/racer with good all-around form, guided by the lines of Dorade, Stormy Weather and Edlu, and emphasized seaworthiness rather than around-the-mark agility."

Masquerade was built in 2010, using cold molded wood/epoxy construction techniques.  She is hull #21 of the NY32 class, launched 74 years later.  Construction is first class.  The boat is ready for racing in the classic yacht circuit or cruising.

The boat is currently lying in Holland but can be shipped to the United States very easily.
