This custom-built Friendship Sloop was built by two of the finest builders of classic wooden boats, father and son, Ralph and Richard Stanley of the Ralph Stanley Boatyard in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Her one and only owner describes her as an easy-to-sail sloop. Her workmanship is superb, her teak decks are beautiful. She has been well maintained and is in very good condition. She has been stored inside off-season at a private boathouse. Replacement cost is estimated at $350,000. Dovekie is a beautiful example of traditional Maine-built craftsmanship and is for the sailor with an eye for Downeast classic boats.

Cedar planking over oak frames with bronze screw fastenings and oak keel built by the Ralph Stanley Yard in Southwest Harbor, Maine. 6000 lbs. of external leak keel and internal ballast. Bare teak decks, coaming, and cockpit. Teak toe, cap and guard rails. Buff painted canvas cabintop. Tiller steering. 8 1/2' x 6 1/2' self-bailing cockpit, 16" side decks, 3'9" stern deck.
