Island Cove is rigged for extensive costal cruising or offshore passages, and has a range of over 1,000 miles. The original owner, for whom she was built to his specifications, had a commercial fishing license and wanted to be safe and comfortable at sea during all kinds of weather. She is now offered by her second owner with many spare parts and a 120 hp diesel engine rebuilt at 5,500 hours. Some work is indicated, and the owner is willing to deal!

Vessel Description

The vessel is a heavy displacement flybridge trawler with a solid fiberglass hull. She has a spacious aft deck and ample space on her side decks to move freely from bow to stern. There are two entrances to the cabin, one on the starboard side at the helm station. The other entrance, facing port, opens into the main salon. The sturdy radar arch with many antennas is noticeable.  

The engine and machinery space is located midships; access is gained by removable panels in the main salon floor. At the forward end of this large area are the auxiliary generator, hot water heater, fresh water pump and batteries, followed by the engine with the fuel tanks mounted outboard on either side.

The interior layout is as follows:

Entering from the aft deck, you step into the main salon, with settee and dining table to starboard. At the forward end are storage cabinets and a counter, separating the salon from the galley which is on the port side opposite the helm station.

From the galley/helm area in order to move forward, you step down to the lower level of the forward cabin. Immediately to your left is the head compartment. Opposite to starboard are doors to access a large area behind the helm station. The main electrical panel is located on this bulkhead. Moving forward, you enter the second cabin with a large V-berth, ample stowage and a hanging locker. Forward of this area is the anchor locker.
