"Halcyon" is a perfect example of a "Gentalman's Daysailer" with excellent overnight accommodations for a couple.  Of cold molded wood construction, with carbon mast and rudder, Halcyon blends classic lines with modern performance features. Recently Awlgripped, with  the bottom barrier coated and freshly painted.  Her brightwork was newly varnished before she was stored inside for the winter.  Impeccably maintained and stored indoors every winter. There is no better example of this category of yacht on the market today!

"Halcyon's" interior is executed very much in traditional Herreshoff style with white bulkheads and joinery fronts accented by cherry wood trim varnished in a satin finish. The hull interior is clear epoxy coated and varnished in a satin finish letting the beauty of the natural wood show through. All cabin floors are of wide board teak varnished in a satin finish. All the way forward is a centerline Queen Size berth (6’6” x 4’2”) with access port and starboard, a feature not found on many boats of this size, which provides sleeping accommodations for two. Generous sliding storage drawers (2 ea) are located under the sleeping berth and there is shelf space and drawer storage for personal items (books, glasses, etc), both port and starboard, outboard of the sleeping berth. Additional storage for clothing, etc. is provided for by lockers (2 ea) located outboard (port and starboard) just forward of the after bulkhead. The port locker is a hanging locker type and the starboard locker is equipped with shelves. Cabin floors are of plank teak with steps rising on both port and starboard sides of the berth allowing for ease of movement getting into or out of the berth. Privacy for the forward cabin can be achieved by the closing of a pocket type door that separates the forward cabin from the passageway to the main cabin area. Natural lighting is supplied by the large overhead hatch and four (4) oval fixed port lights. Electric lighting is supplied by four (4) over head dome lights. The head is full width and located between the Forward Cabin and the Main Salon. It can be isolated from both areas by closing the pocket door and opening the door to the toilet/washbasin compartment. This allows one to shower on the centerline with full headroom and complete privacy. There is a separate sump and custom teak grate in this area. The head is by Raritan and fully electric with dedicated holding tank and deck pump out.
