Hatteras 380 Convertible

Purchased in 2005, in December of 2005, the Owner moved her to a boatyard where she was hauled out for an extensive refit. During this refit, the main salon and engine room were gutted and brought back. The exterior saw the bottom taken down to gel coat and redone, the hull and deck were awl gripped and most of the main salon windows were replaced. The heart of the refit found 2  new John Deere 4045 , 85 hp diesel engines installed with appropriate running gear as well as a new Northern Lights 8 kw generator. The electrical system and wiring were also replaced and the schematic upgraded. This Owner has spent his entire career in the marine industry.  He put that expertise to work with a myriad of details that make this yacht truly exceptional. You can expect to achieve a range of easily 700 to over 1,000 miles in her current configuration, making her the envy of most trawlers in her size class.

Step on board aft by the cockpit and then enter thru a port side door to the main salon. Your eye will immediately be drawn to the fishing rods hanging above the dinette on the starboard side. The custom tongue and groove overhead harken back to an earlier era of yachting when boats were made out of wood and Hemingway was terrorizing Key West. The main salon sports a galley, a dinette and a lower helm while maintaining an open feeling escalated by the almost 360 degrees of windows. Down a couple of steps and the hallway takes you to the head on the port side, a crew cabin to starboard and the Owners cabin all the way forward.  Returning back to the cockpit, a ladder on the starboard will take you to the flybridge with its own helm and navigation equipment.  A nice layout for a cruising couple or for the “boys” to go fishing and exploring.
