Nordic Tugs 42 - New arrival

(LOCATION: Punta Gorda) This Nordic Tugs 42 Trawler is a unique motor yacht with classic style and exceptional accommodations. She is designed to take you anywhere with comfort, style, and economy. On deck we start at the top with an open flybridge with bimini top and mooring cover. The upper helm station is forward with 360º view. The bridge is large with room for friends and family with guest seating. Steps aft leads below to the open sun deck with a foldable radar mast, hydraulic dinghy davit with updated boom, and dinghy cradle (dinghy not included). The walkaround main has bow pulpit with anchor and windlass, stainless steel rails, side decks with pilothouse entries, an aft deck with salon entry and swim platform.

The salon is bright, airy, with teak trim and large windows. There is an L-shaped convertible settee with dining table, easy chair, Day and Night blinds, entertainment center with TV and sound system and service bar with ice maker. The galley is port side and features teak cabinets, Corian counter top, stainless steel sink, three-burner gas range with oven, microwave oven, trash compactor, and full size refrigerator / freezer.

Up a flight of stairs is the pilothouse with center helm station with teak cabinetry and ship’s wheel. There is a settee to starboard and chart table with storage to port. Side doors provide deck access. A guest lounge with table and storage cabinet fill the rear of the pilothouse. The nav station is located under the steps.

There are two staterooms. The forward master stateroom features island queen berth, under-berth storage, drawer storage, and hanging lockers. The master head has VacuFlush toilet, vanity with Corian top, and shower stall. The guest cabin has convertible double berth with drawer storage and hanging locker. It also houses a Majestic washer/dryer. The guest head has VacuFlush toilet, vanity with Corian top, and shower stall.

This Nordic Tugs 42 is powered by a 540-hp Cummins Electronic diesel engine  designed for economical and dependable performance. The boats hull speed is 7.5 to 8 knots, burning only 1.5 - 2 gph. At 12 to 14 cruising speed she stabilizes perfectly, but will do speeds of 17+. This is due to its unique hull shape and its hard chines.

Nordic Tugs is known for its “Incredible” hull with a bow designed to cut through the water for a quiet dry ride and increased fuel efficiency.

The full length keel provides excellent tracking and stability at all speeds and the hard chine eliminates repeated roll. A high output bow thruster improves mobility and a heavy duty stainless steel skeg protects running gear. NT 42  is a Fast Trawler with a cruising speed of 16 to 17 knots. She is a semi planning boat, which planes at speed around 12-13 kn. Max. speed is 17+ kn. Fuel consumption is about 25 gph at 17 kn. She holds 300 gal of fuel in twin tanks.
