Kaya is a 1988 36ft Elvstrom/Rogeberg aluminum hull sloop that has been tested crossing the Atlantic Ocean to her current home in the Caribbean that spanned 8 months with many stops along the way.

The 1988 36ft Elvstrom/Rogeberg Sloop is idea love to sail on a boat that carries a lot of character. In her unmistakable Green painted hull, Kaya is beautiful trusting on the open water. Kaya is well constructed, her strong aluminum hull and Dutch engineering make her safe and easy to sail in heavy Atlantic winds or large swells.

The 1988 36ft Elvstrom/Rogeberg Sloop was approved by Lloyd's Yacht Registery and she was built in a traditional professional Dutch Shipyard. She was a prototype project design as seen by her at the time, "Modern Style" light coloured wood that help with illumination below deck. Due to the projects costs, Kaya was the only boat completed. This makes her even more special besides the character Kaya possesses.

The 1988 36ft Elvstrom/Rogeberg Sloop was later extened by 1 foot roughly, but she kept the same waterline. The reason for the extension was to create two large storage compartments aft deck behind the wheelhouse. Careful attention was paid during the extension not to compromise Kaya's performance and handling.
