This innovative cruiser with a performance orientated hull is drawn by noted designer racer, Glenn Henderson, Hunter’s Chief Designer.

The 426/44 carries the beam well aft, but additional beam does not hinder performance or sea keeping ability, it actually enhances it.

Wide windows and ports offer a real panorama and the creative layout allows for two full staterooms with two full heads with separate shower stalls and hand wash basins. Galley appliances are stainless steel and surrounded by genuine Corian countertops. Innerspring mattresses are standard in both spacious staterooms and there is even a special desk/office area in the master.

Originally introduced to the UK in 2002 as the Hunter 426, this being the deck salon version and the Hunter 436 as the standard deck it was renamed the Hunter 44 Deck Salon and the Hunter 44 respectively in the Summer of 2003. “Exceat” is UK Hull number 3. Hull number 4 was named a Hunter 44 Deck Salon. This sailboat uses the same hull as the Hunter 45 Deck Salon and most of the specification is very similar.

"My partner and I ordered Exceat to be built to our specification in 2003 and she was commissioned in June 2003.

We sailed her to the Caribbean in 2006 and have cruised the Eastern Caribbean.

During hurricane season she has been laid up ashore.

She has a very extensive inventory which has been added since new which makes her perfect for liveaboard or passage making.

The saloon is large and airy with 7ft headroom and has 4 x 240volt sockets and 4 x 12 volt sockets. The two staterooms are large with their own heads and separate shower stalls and 12volt power sockets.

We have kept her maintained to a very high standard. Although she has had fairly extensive use she is in almost immaculate condition.

Exceat is almost certainly the best equipped Hunter 426/44 and can be sailed away today with no additional costs".
