The Bristol Marine Corporation produced 54 of these one-design trawlers between 1972 and

1988. The first 10 hulls were manufactured at their yard in Bristol, RI. The remaining vessels were

produced at the Ananda Shipyard in Dhaka, Bangladesh, India. Alegria is Hull # 34. The Bristol

Marine Corporation sent their fiberglass, Mechanical/Electrical, and Jointer Foremen and their

families to Dhaka to oversee production of the vessels. Because of the proximity to Burma, all of

the wood used in the manufacture of Alegria, including any plywood is Burmese Teak.
