Vic Franck Garden Design North Sea Trawler
Undergoing restoration, price is as completed, willing to negotiate prior to completion!!!!Pisces was built in 1958 by the venerable Vic Franck shipyards on Lake Union for the owner of Sees Candies. The Pisces was designed by famed naval architect William Garden after the north sea trawlers such as Malahide and Romsdal but she contains a more refined look and functionality than her sisters. She cruised the Puget sound for many years before being sold to Dick Smothers of Smothers brothers fame and brought to California. She made many trips up and down the west coast before being sold to an owner in Portland. She was then bought by her current owner in 1974. She was bought to be used as a summer charter yacht in Alaska. She served faithfully for over 30 years taking groups of 6 out with the owner and his family. She has sat idle for many years and the lack of use has taken her toll. She needs cosmetics, mechanical, interior and system updates. She is built of Alaskan cedar and is very structurally sound. She is powered by a pair of original Cummins each powering their own 5 bladed props. She has twin gen sets and over 2000 gal of fuel. She has four staterooms three heads and can accommodate 10 comfortably. The Pisces is a true displacement trawler that turns heads everywhere. Her price reflects the work that needs to be done. She should easily be worth double the asking price once she is restored. The owner is very creative, Price drastically reduced over 100k for quick as is sale!!!!!Over 6000nm range, needs work Pisces was built in 1958 by the venerable Vic Franck shipyards on Lake Union for the owner of Sees Candies.
