Peterson Sloop

Ninety-one of these Doug Peterson-designed performance cruisers were built by a Texas builder over a five year production period from 1976 to 1981. Nationally renowned in the day as fast, tough boats built to the highest quality standards, they are now "classic plastics" that still remain popular on the brokerage market.

This particular example was originally built for the Granny Goose potato chip family and has been owned by the same knowledgeable family since 1991. They took her on three trips to Mexico and report that she makes a superb cruiser as well as a fun Bay boat or daysailer. Note she was repowered in 1996 with a 30 hp Yanmar (vs. the original 15 hp diesel, and also the tankage was increased from 10 gallons of fuel to 30), and has benefitted from numerous upgrades over the years.

She's currently lying in the Sausalito Yacht Harbor in a potentially transferable slip; there's a long wait to get into the marina here so this is also a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.
