1996 Kadey Krogen 48WHALEBACK, Whale Rider is a fully found 48' Whaleback with all the amenities and conveniences one would expect on a proper long range trawler yacht. She has a full complement of electronics, hydraulic stabilizers, 2004 Zodiac RIB w/2004 50HP Yamaha, 2004 Marquip 1000 Davit and many more options. The engine was reconditioned in 2014 as well as the entire engine room with new paint in addition to new mufflers for CAT and the generator, dripless shaft log and grounding system for shaft with tuned shaft and custom alignment. Whale Rider's salon is truly remarkable. With windows and rear opening double doors, you get the feeling that you are on a 60'+ yacht. The pilot house's very large area provides 360 degree visibility and a separate space for all underway facets of cruising. The area is air conditioned, icemaker and bar for entertaining. The ground tackle on Whale Rider is excellent and includes: electric Lofrans anchor windlass, 100lb Supermax anchor w/ 3/8 HT chain, Barnacle anchor w/ 30'1/2" chain and 400' nylon rope. Fresh water anchor wash down. An ESPAR Hydronic Diesel Heating system installed in 2009, 5 zones with pilot house w/defroster. Trades considered.
