Phoenix Ocean Phoenix

Remarkable, pedigreed sailing yacht, conceived and built for comfort, speed & easy handling. She was built as a performance cruiser in 1996, voted “Yacht of the Year” by the RYA in 1997, and thoroughly refitted in 2003 with major improvements. Her 2007 updates included new teak decks and new sails. She has been well-maintained by fulltime crew and has sailed beautifully in the Mediterranean & the Caribbean.

HULL: Foam coared epoxy composite with laminates incorporating Kevlar and carbon fibre. Epoxy system to underwater profile in collaboration with SP systems 1998. Repaint in awlgrip 2009. Topsides painting touch-ups 2011.

DECK: Foam coared epoxy composite with teak laid deck and coachroof.

External trim: stainless steel and teak.

Iron keel with lead bulb. Hydraulic opening transom.

2011: 8-month refit that includes deck and mast conditioning, hull sanding and recaulking, new equipment, entire interior redistribution to provide an additional crew cabin, complete new galley in a new location, new upholstery, and a long etc, all resulting in a lighter, faster performance cruiser with a gain of 10 cm above waterline.
