Cromarty 36 Mk Ii - Comfortable Motor Sailer

1988, Strong and roomy motor sailer packed with extras including bow thruster, hot and cold water, IN-MAST furling, recent standing and running rigging, heating, RIB and outboard. FANTASTIC ACCOMMODATION with 6 berths in 3 cabins. Now at bargain price!   Recent work includes several new skin fittings.

CONSTRUCTION                             Built in 1988, GRP construction with pale blue topsides and ivory superstructure, long keel, hull copper coated from new, Treadmaster to decks, dual steering and 6 berth internal layout in 2 cabins plus saloon.  Bermudan ketch rig.

SAILS  & RIG:                           In-mast furling mainsail by Hood.  Slab reefingmizzen by Hood.  Genoa roller reefing system with furling No 1 Genoa by Hood.  Storm Jib.  Kemp mast and spars in silver anodised aluminium, spinnaker pole on mast, lazy jacks and stack pack for mizzen.  Stainless steel standing rigging with inner forestay.  Her standing rigging was replaced in 2009, her running rigging was also replaced in 2009. 

 ENGINE:                                            Volvo MD31A 62HP 2.4 litre 4 cylinder inboard diesel engine with freshwater cooling.  Shaft drive to Brunton autoprop variable pitch propeller.  Single lever throttle controls at each helm position. Alternator charging to 4 x 12 volt batteries including 2 x 100 amp/hr domestic batteries with isolator, one 110 amp/hr engine start battery with isolator and one bowthruster battery with isolator.  Her engine has 2 alternators (50 amp and 90 amp) and also 240 volt shorepower with automatic battery charger and Adverc charge regulator.  2 x 50 gallon stainless steel fuel tanks.

BOWTHRUSTER:                             QL (Volvo) 3 HP bowthruster with separate battery.

DECK GEAR:                              Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit, stanchions and guardwires, (guardrails and gates replaced 2009), 2 Lewmar Genoa self tailing sheet winches, 3 Lewmar self tailing halyard winches, one Lewmar winch, full width Perspex windscreen with sprayhood and cover at outside helm position. 

Whittall stainless steel davits with 2.2m rib (2011) and 2.5HP 4 stroke outboard motor.  Stainless steel custom made boarding ladder, boat hooks, Lofrans Tiger electric anchor windlass with remote control at bow, 45kg CQR anchor with chain, 22kg kedge anchor with chain and warp, various mooring warps and fenders.

SAFETY GEAR:                           Plastimo 6-man liferaft, life sling, 2 lifebuoys with lights, hand held fire extinguishers (2009), automatic engine room fire extinguisher (2009), distress flares, various life jackets, harnesses and lanyards, fire blanket in galley, stainless steel jackstay lifelines, bilge pump.

 

NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:        Plastimo Contest 130 steering compass (new 2009), Plastimo Contest 130 steering compass (for outside helm), Tacktick T104 NMEA wireless depth, speed and wind displays (new 2009), Garmin GPS map 4010 colour chart plotter/radar with AIS (new 2009), Garmin GMR18HD high definition radar scanner (new 2009), ICOM M601 DSC/VHF radio (new 2006), NASA Target Navtex (new 2004), NASA radio telex weatherman (new 2006 receives and displays free weather information), Cetrek 737 autopilot with controls at both helm stations, clock and barometer, inclinometer, navigation lights.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:            She has an 18” flat screen TV with DVD player (new 2009), Kenwood stereo radio/cd player (new 2009).  240 volt shore power with numerous outlets. Eberspacher hot air diesel fired heating system.  Her galley has 2 large stainless steel sinks with hot and cold water mixer, hot water is via engine calorifier or 240 volt shore power immersion heater.  3 burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven (new 2012), top loading refrigerator, front loading refrigerator, overhead storage lockers, drawers and cupboards below the work surface.  Her saloon/pilot house has a large horseshoe saloon dinette with table to seat up to 6.  Helmsman’s seat with steering and instrumentation.  Aft cabin has en-suite heads and shower compartment with stainless steel hand basin, hot and cold water supply, Jabsco marine toilet (2009) and shower.  Her forward heads compartment/shower has stainless steel hand basin, hot and cold water supply,  Jabsco compact sea toilet (new 2009) and pull out shower.  She has tailor made bedding for the aft cabin with new mattress in 2012, mattress top and mattress protector. Blue upholstery with curtains and sun protectors.

ACCOMMODATION:                   She has 6 berths in 2 cabins and saloon.  Including 2 “V” berths in her separate forward cabin, her aft owners cabin has a large double berth (1.98m x 1.37m) with storage below, comfy chair, vanity unit, large hanging locker and opening deck hatch.  Her saloon table lowers to form a double berth.

REMARKS:                                “Lady Wendy” was purchased by her current owners in June 2010.  Her owners have improved the boat over the years adding a new cooker in 2012, new battery charging system in 2012, new rigid inflatable dinghy and new 4 stroke outboard motor in 2011.  They have cruised the boat as far afield as France, Belgium and Holland  in 2011, in 2012 they cruised to the  Channel Islands and France and in 2013 to London and up and down the East Coast.  A new bilge pump was fitted in 2013 and also new curtains and wheelhouse sun protectors in 2013.  Her previous owner purchased her in 2008 and spent over £38,000 on a refit from January to March 2009 including new instrumentation, rigging, engine overhaul and electrics.  The Cromarty 36 offers superb accommodation in 2 cabins plus saloon with both internal and external steering.  “Lady Wendy” is fully equipped and ready for extensive cruising.
