Designed and built by master yacht builder Vic Carpenter, VAN KI PASS is a stunning construction. with over six years of build time, Carpenter created this masterpiece for his personal use.  She remains an elegant ocean racing yacht unlike anything else afloat. 

VAN KI PASS,  French Caribbean slang for Passing Wind, her original name, is a stunning yacht.  There is nothing in the sailing world to compare her to.  She stands alone as the life's work of an incredibly skillful yacht builder and designer.

The designer/builder was a Canadian named Vic Carpenter, owner of Carpenter Custom Yachts in Canada.  She was launched in 1992 after over six years in design and build.  She was to be his last construction, built for his personal use.

The methods and materials used were the finest available.  Custom hardware and exquisite wood working details abound. 

The layout speaks of the owner's wish to have a competitive ocean racing yacht with sumptuous yet practical accommodations.  There is not an inelegant detail; even the bilges are beautifully finished.
