Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.2

"The Jeanneau 45.2 is an attractive package for a cruising boat. Designed for ease of handling, the sloop rig delivers good performance, and the innovative, well-appointed interior makes living aboard for long periods an alluring option." - Sail Magazine

From the moment you board this yacht, it is obvious why this yacht has been revered in the charter fleets and by cruisers. With an enormous cockpit that features a split helm, walk through transom, large cockpit table and large bimini this yacht has luxurious external living space for a yacht of her size. Dropping down the companionway steps, you find a bright open galley and saloon with great working and living space. With the versatility of converting the forward cabins into one or two cabins with a removable bulkhead, added guests are not a problem as this yacht easily converts from a three cabin/three head yacht to a four cabin/three head yacht.

"Blade Runner II" is a good example of this model. Working in the Sunsail Charter Fleet for her first few years, she has been lightly used by the same owner since leaving this charter fleet. If you are looking for a good sailing cruising yacht to explore the Caribbean or set up your own charter business, this yacht should be considered.

The Sun Odyssey 45.2 is arguably one of the most popular yachts that Jeanneau has ever built. With her wide weather decks, clean open foredeck and her massive cockpit, her outdoor living space is well thought out and functional. This in nor more obvious then when you are on the dock and you step onto the yacht through the walk through transom and easily pass through the twin helm and walk unhindered to the companion way without crawling over anything.

Once down the companion way steps the galley runs down the port side. Forward of the galley are two doors in the forward structural bulkhead that lead to the master cabin or if the partition is up, two separate double cabins. aft of this/these cabins to starboard is a large head that can be accessed through the master cabin/starboard forward cabin or from the saloon. Just aft of the forward head is a large saloon table that has seating inboard and outboard of the table as well as aft facing. On the starboard side just aft of the saloon table is a slightly offset navigation station with a large desk-top, plenty of surface space on the forward facing panel above the desk for electronics and storage under the nav seat. Behind the navigation station is the aft starboard cabin that has standing headroom around the storage locker and a large bunk. To port is another aft cabin identical to the starboard aft cabin. Forward of the aft port cabin is the second head.

The engine is tucked under the companion way steps that can be removed for easy access to the front of the engine, while there are also access panels in the aft cabins for access to the backside of the engine.

On deck the yacht also features fantastic storage. Forward of the two forward cabins there is a large storage locker perfect for sails, lines, fenders, toys etc... that is accessible through the foredeck with a fixed stainless steel ladder.
