Nils Lucander Custom Aluminum Trawler - New arrival

This is little trawler is loaded with all the features you need for long range cruising. Perfect for the inside passage one year, then load it up on it's own tractor trailer and take it on a cruse around the Great loop the next year. 

Hull professionally built by Fastwater Marine, Richmond BC and finished by the first owner. The boat was launched in 2007. The bottom is 5086 1/4" aluminum plate and 3/16" aluminum topsides.  Keel reinforced with 1" X 4" aluminum bars, center skeg is 3/4" aluminum plate.

Very economical and reliable with (2) 36 horse power, naturally aspirated, dry stacked, Deutz diesel engines. 

Deutz 36 HP engines with about 160hrs. to dry stack exhaust.  Holds 415 gal. fuel,350 gal. fresh water, 47 gal. black/ 14 gal. gray.  2 LPG tanks for Kit. burner, and grill to heat crab pot.  10 gal. hydraulic oil tank, 10 gal H.W. Has trash compactor, washer/dryer, 2 freezers under galley floor with seperate compressors. Has 2 anchors with 100' 0f 3/8 high tensile chain, and 300' of 7/16 cable on a Kinnamatics hydraulically operated reel Vetus anchor windlass, and a backup manual windlass. Plus a back-up chain and rode. Has sea chest for water in and out. Has a fuel polishing system, and a fuel transfer system.

 
Electronics-  ICOM VHF radio, ICOM SSB radio, Northstar GPS, Furuno W RD 30/ repeater, Furuno Radar, Yeoman chart plotter, Comnav Auto pilot, Furuno depth sounder, Wesmar Depth sounder. Rolls deep cell batteries.
 
  The boat hull is called a tri keel hull, and has stainless steel Kort nozles around the Bronz alloy Kaplan Style propellors. It can sit on the ground when the tide goes out, without tipping.
