Design

The Salona 33 is the result of an intense collaboration between Salona's own design and engineering team along with external designers, Olympic and professional sailors and interior designers. What’s more, this new model also incorporates many features specifically recommended by longtime Salona owners — a group with substantial cruising and racing experience. The entire team came together with a single purpose: to design and build a globally competitive sailing yacht that could win any regatta, without compromising on the comfort and safety features expected from a cruising vessel.

Cockpit

This yacht features the same clean, modern deck lines Salona first introduced in the S38. The stern houses a thoroughly practical cockpit that is wide, spacious and free of obstacles — both comfortable for cruising and functional for racing. A teak dinette table appropriate for cruising can be easily removed for a race and then just as easily replaced. Top-of-the-line equipment from internationally recognized suppliers ensures the Salona 33 is easy to sail singlehandedly, with a crew or with the family.

Construction and Safety

At the heart of the S35 is Salona’s hallmark design feature: an impressive stainless steel frame. This signature structure is design to securely spread the loads from the keel, shrouds and mast and distributing them evenly throughout the hull, increasing the boat’s stability and overall safety

Control

The S33’s deep rudder is designed for optimum “grip” and maximum “feel,” offering responsive and reliable handling across all sea conditions and points of sail. It comes standard with a tiller or the two wheels option, and an optional cascade backstay can ensure simple and accurate rig tuning.

Sail Plan

The S33 boasts a powerful sail plan balanced by a T-shaped keel, which maximizes ballast leverage for remarkable stability. It also features an optional retractable carbon bowsprit for ease of sail handling and downwind enjoyment.
