Arch Davis (Trawler Tug) Jack Tar - New arrival

Launched in 2000, this lobster boat styled fast trawler was designed by Arch Davis Marine Design, and is known as a "Jack Tar" model, with beautiful Honduran mahogany interior woodwork.  It is of cold-molded construction using the West System, fully encapsulating the marine grade 1/2 inch plywood with fiberglass. 

Powered by a Yanmar 230HP diesel (600 hrs.), "John Henry" will attain a top speed of 20kts.

Sleeps four in a V-berth and fold out couch. Galley includes: refrigerator/freezer (110 or 12v), pressurized hot/cold water, and Kenyon 2 burner electric/alcohol stove.   Manual head and shower with shower sump, and a macerator with Y-valve.

Electronics include Furuno 1622 Radar, Garmin 840s GPS chart plotter with BlueChart g2 chip for inland waters and SW Florida, Lowrance depth sounder and temp. indicator, Horizon Intrepid GX1260S VHF-DSC radio interfaced with GPS,  Floscan fuel flow meter, AM/FM/CD radio.

Has a second helm in the cockpit with throttle/shift and bow thruster controls (Lewmar 2.2 Kw), a 90 watt solar panel, aft washdown system, transom door, swim platform and bow pulpit , galvanic isolator, and starting and house batteries with battery monitor.

Equipped with dripless shaft seal, anchor windlass with helm control, Bruce anchor with 30' chain and 250' rode, and Bennett trim tabs.

The original builder and owner of this boat spent four years in its construction and the interior mahogany wood work demonstrates his master woodworking skills. The current owner has devoted much work over the past four years upgrading the boat and systems to adapt to cruising inland and intracoastal waters. 

All regular maintenance has been performed, with the latest to include new zincs, Interlux Micron Extra bottom paint, Interlux Brightside topside paint, and brightwork finished with Bristol Finish - all in 2014.

Includes a custom trailer with dual 6000 lb. axles.

Excellent condition and ready to cruise. Currently in covered storage for easy showing in Punta Gorda, FL.
