Hanse 370 - The most popular Hanse model.

The Hanse 370 / 375 was/is Hanse's most successful boat ever, both in sales and on the race course.   We have sold several, including a local boat which in 2 years has been cruised extensively while finishing 3rd in fleet at Cedar Point Yacht Club, a highly competitive local club in Westport CT.   She is a true dual purpose boat, fast when raced yet comfortable for cruising.  The rig is ideal for shorthanded sailing or as a daysailer, with a self tacking headsail, and a Dutchman self flaking main with a low friction track system.  Her slightly larger sister, the Hanse 400, was European Boat of the Year in 2006.  The 370 was used for the Hanse factory race team till the Hanse 430 was developed.   The 370 is still in production, sold as the VAr 37.   

Her construction sets her apart from most other production boats, with bulkheads tabbed or fibreglassed to both the hull and the deck.   As such, her strength, like most northern european yachts, is closer to the Hallberg Rassy class of boats, and many have done extensive offshore passages with a bunch of transatlantic crossings.
