The all-new and thoroughly modern Nordic Tug 49 is a much-anticipated addition to the Nordic Tugs® line of classic, tug-style cruising yachts. While the 49 is a Nordic Tug through-and-through, discerning boaters will notice many subtle enhancements that elevate this model's beauty and functionality to a whole new level.

The 49 with a claret red hull was designed by naval architect Howard Apollonio of Apollonio Naval Architecture and will retain the character of the previous models, but the new hull design will benefit from advancements in design and technology. And with a shallower draft of 4' 2", the 49 is the ideal "go anywhere" boat - perfect for cruising both inland and coastal waters. Look at what the owners have added: a manual rachet lift on anchor winch, additional rails, pop up cleats on swim platform, brackets for fender storage, 2 searchlights, canvas to cover cockpit to deck stair opening, canvas cover on helm to deck hatch, lifbuoy, LED port & starboard running lights, wind guage and display, anchor chain counter, 3 cameras on exterior and 2 in engine room, redundant radar, Sirius weather radio receiver, new larger table in salon, additiona lstorage,  floor hatch and ladder to forward and mid holds, enlarged closet, converted swing to sliding door in master, screens and shades throughout,installed Espar domestic water heater, added 120 volt Espar pump, installed pressure tank water supply system and more!!

The Nordic Tug 49 features a very spacious interior designed for optimal livability and incorporates the work of the highly-regarded marine interior designer Judy Bell-Davis of the Bell Design Group. The two-cabin boat has a full-beam master stateroom amidships, beneath the pilothouse, and an equally well-appointed guest stateroom forward.
