The most distinguishing aspect of any Maritimo is its performance. Buyers lucky enough to sea trial one become owners. The secret is in the combination of uniquely robust construction and engineering and a variable degree deadrise hull with a keel that is happy whether cruising in the upper 20’s or at ICW speeds. Maritimos possess supreme balance, with the combined weight of fuel and engines farther forward than in North American ‘next best’ alternatives – in fact, at the dead center of buoyancy – such that she handles and performs equally at 100% or 20% fuel levels. This enables minimal shaft angle without efficiency robbing prop pockets. They deliver ‘pod-like’ efficiency with a trouble free straight drive propulsion system that is a joy to own, a delight to drive, and one look into the cavernous engine room, one will understand that she is even easy to work on. There is, simply, nothing like it.

Slide open the large glass doors from the cockpit and your eyes are instantly spoiled. The array of sumptuous appointments, from the sunken galley aft (easy to load provisions, serve from, prepare in, or chat up the crew - whether in the cockpit or salon!) to the bright, airy salon, with opening windows and a side deck access door to starboard, all define luxe cruising comfort. A flatscreen  TV rises from a port side cabinet (linked to a Bose 3-2-1 Stereo/CD/DVD home theater and KVH Sat system). This cabinet also houses an icemaker and bottle and glass storage.  Opposing settees and the wonder table (please see pictures) complete the furnishings, while tasteful window treatments provide privacy and shade when necessary.

The galley deserves a bit more mention, with a drawer type Fisher and Paykel dishwasher, three burner electric cook top, a convection / microwave oven, stainless sink, large built in fridge/freezer, and one of the most thoughtfully executed slide out pantry units to be found on any boat of any size. There is even an effective cook top fan over the range. Opening to the cockpit and to the salon - essentially an 'open floor plan' - this galley enables all of the utility a galley should provide and all of the socializing you could want.

The salon is also the entry to the three staterooms below, and there is a nifty illuminated handrail  to guide you down the companionway.  To starboard is a single bunk stateroom which this owner has customized with 6 large bureau drawers and a flatscreen TV.  This is also where the separate 'home size' clothes washer and dryer reside in a dedicated cabinet.  

To port is the master stateroom with its luxurious en suite private head with separate frameless glass stall shower - both beautiful and functional. The stateroom features a walk around queen berth with a gigantic walk in wardrobe underneath - we call it the 'walk-in wine cellar' (no kidding - it must be seen!). There is abundant hanging locker space in the wardrobe with a smaller hanging locker at floor level, and, of course, a large TV.

The guest / day head is accessed from the central corridor, and likewise features a separate glass frameness  shower stall. Both heads are actively vented and have an egress sized hatch, and a lovely glass raised wash basin and copious storage.

Forward is the VIP suite, with centerline queen berth, storage drawers under, hanging locker,  and flatscreen TV. All staterooms are well ventilated, feature egress sized lockers,and have air conditioned climate control.

Back to the salon, where the open stainless and teak stair ascends to what is perhaps the  nicest room on the boat - the completely enclosed 'SkyLounge' flybridge! It is more like a second salon. With two Stidd skipper and mate chairs, a settee to port, and a large 'L-shaped' lounge with teak hi-low table, wet bar, fridge, ice maker, bottle and glass storage and flat screen TV, this space has everything, including the best view of your favorite anchorage.  With a generously sized aft 'Romeo & Juliet' deck overlooking the cockpit, there is more than enough room for your chaise lounges or tables and deck chairs for perfect sunsets. Opening forward vent, sliding windows and heat and air assure comfort on longer passages. At the end of the day, you will appreciate how fresh and comfortable you have been, and relish in the fact that there is no canvas with which to wrestle!  There is a docking station on the aft fly deck, with an electronic shift/throttle. With amazing sight lines from here, and the bow and stern thruster control on remote, docking is simple and easy!

The cockpit on this boat is an entertainer's dream, with dual entry from the large swim platform, leading to a huge space with a giant lazarette under - all the room for tables and chairs for al fresco dining, or bicycles, or both. The aft barbeque grille center features an electric flat top grille, a eutectic freezer (or fridge, it is completely adjustable) and sink with prep and plating counter space to spare.
