Jeanneau 36I

Cayo Muerto is named for a small but lovely key (cayo) in the very beautiful island group of Los Roques off the Venezuelan coast.

This is one of the rare examples of a 36i with the performance tall rig and deep keel. She features performance sails, including an asymmetric spinnaker, adjustable jib cars, mast mounted instrument repeaters, adjustable backstay and other performance features.

The Jeanneau 36i features an injected molded deck, requiring a very expensive tooling process which produces an extremely strong deck weighing hundreds of pounds less than conventional deck molds with headliners. When coupled with the deep (6'11") performance keel with a large bulb, the stability and sail carrying ability of this boat is truly amazing. This stability also translates to safety and comfort as a dry and upright sailing boat, great for cruising.

The spacious interior layout features two double cabins and a large head with a roomy separate stall shower. An electric fresh water "Quiet Flush" has recently been add, so the boat smells like a new boat. The "garage" locker aft of the shower is amazingly large and convenient.

The galley is "L" shaped aft in the salon (saloon) with double stainless sinks, elegant glass guard, deep electric refer with freezer compartment, a quality stainless marine propane stove with oven and ample (clean) locker space.

The Marc Lombard hull delivers smooth performance under sail and power, while a large diameter leather wrapped wheel is extremely responsive on all points of sail. This center steering pedestal accommodates full electronic instruments, autopilot and a GPS chartplotter with radar.

Most importantly, this fine yacht has been maintained in meticulous condition, with dry, clean bilges and engine sump, corrosion  free stainless. She is in need of nothing to get underway and head for the Island or beyond, or try your hand at some club or point-to-point racing.
