Slocum 43 Cutter

The Slocum 43 is a boat designed and built for world cruising.  She has a encapsulated fin keel and a skeg hung rudder.  She is powered by a Perkins 4-108 that has been rebuilt with only 10 hrs on it.  The boat has been through a major refit including all through hull fittings, and hoses.  The rudder was rebuilt and reinstalled with new supports. The entire steering assembly was repaired, replaced or improved.  Interior plumbing has been repaired and replaced including holding tank, it's plumbing, and a new macerator.  Replumbing of the stainless steel fuel tanks, fuel filter unit and fuel lines. The engine compartment has been cleaned, painted, and sound insulated.  Stanchions have been rebedded.  Main salon windows were replaced. All electrical wiring has been replaced, repaired and improved.  The boat bottom has been completely stripped to gel coat and coated with 3 coats of epoxy paint prior to it's last antifouling paint job.  This family was going through the boat to make here ready for bluewater cruising.  A change in plans has made her available.  If your looking for a stout cruiser that has had the systems gone through you should check out this boat!!!!  

Starting at the bow is a chain locker. Next aft is the forward stateroom. There is a large V berth double berth. Port and starboard along the hullside, above the bunk is a row of lockers and a bookshelf. In the overhead is a large overhead hatch. Next aft to port is an enclosed head with a separate stall shower, W.C., vanity and locker storage. Across to starboard are 2 hanging lockers. Next aft is the main salon. To port is a C shaped convertable Across to starboard is a long settee.  Next aft to port is a U shaped galley, with numerous lockers and drawers for storage and abundant countertop space. Across to starboard is a forward facing chart table with seat. Aft of the chart table is a wet locker. Aft of the wet locker is a quarterberth. Across from the quarterberth to port is an enclosed aft cabin with a double pullman berth, hanging locker, shelf and storage locker.  The interior is finished in teak with a teak and holly sole. There are numerous 4 overhead hatches,   7 opening SS ports and  2 SS dorade vents for ventilation.
