Nautor Swan 48 Cruiser / Racer

The S&S, Swan 48s are in a class of their own. Now more than 40 years old their design endures and they are considered one of the classic sailboats ever designed and built.

KARA MIA has been fortunate to be the recipient of a number of very caring owners including the preset one. The teak decks were replaced in 2003 and have plenty of thickness left in them. The engine was replaced in 2010, so too were the navigation electronics. The interior wood work is still in top condition and the upholstery has recently been replaced.       

KARA MIA is in full commission and ready to sail the oceans of the world. She is hull #012.

White solid fiberglass hull (painted 2011).
Single blue waterline stripe.
Single blue sheer stripe.
Red antifouling.
Fin keel.
Trim tab on trailing edge of keel, operated at the helm station inner wheel.
Skeg hung rudder.
The cast iron steel grid in the bilges has been replaced in 2010 with a stainless steel grid under the guidance of an ex-Nautor employee.
