Brooklin Boat Yard Eggemoggin 45' Flybridge
Brooklin Boat Yard of Brooklin, Maine is pleased to announce the development of the Eggemoggin 45’ Flybridge Motoryacht. The design is an unrealized design from the Joel M. White design collection. Joel White founded Brooklin Boat Yard in 1960. He was a charismatic and accomplished designer, and is credited with the design of numerous popular designs such as the Nutshell Pram, the Marsh Cat, Center Harbor 31 and the W-76 Class. Lesser know are his powerboat designs. Brooklin Boat Yard is now operated by Joel’s son Steve White. “I have always particularly liked the design of the Eggemoggin 45’ and hope to attract a buyer looking for a simple cruising yacht of this length”, says Steve. He continues “I think 45’ is the perfect size for family cruising, and the simplicity and economy of a single screw motoryacht is a logical choice considering the cost of fuel today.” Twin engines are available as an option. Two alternative interior arrangements are available: either one or two cabins. Brooklin Boat Yard custom designed boats are built to be strong and long lasting. In 1979 the yard started using the WEST system (cold-molded, wood/epoxy) as a construction method and in 1981 began vacuum bagging laminates to produce hulls that are exceptionally light, stiff and strong. The crew of builders, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters and riggers represent the finest craftsmen in the state. We are committed to building the best boats for our customers, on time and on budget. Brooklin Boat Yard has built well over eighty boats since the establishment of the yard in 1960.
