Beneteau Oceanis 423

"ALAFAIR" is a beautiful 2003 Beneteau Oceanis 423 Sloop. 2 stateroom, 2 head layout with bow thruster, generator and electric primary winches. Designed by the famous Groupe Finot, naval architects with more production yachts afloat than any other design firm. Beneteaus have sailed many millions of miles without a hull failure.

Also earning a pat on the back is the choice of engine. Volvo introduced a then "new" diesel engine with a welcome old-fashioned feature: a cruising rpm of 2,000. With engine turning at that stately rate, the boat makes nearly 7 knots, while reaching near 8.5 knots at 2800 rpm's.

Entering the interior from the cockpit at the centerline companionway through custom Zarcor swinging doors. A spacious galley is to starboard and features a stainless steel 3 burner propane stove and oven, separate Adler-Barbour freezer and refrigerator, Origo microwave oven and plenty of counter space.

Aft to port is a large stateroom with dedicated air conditioner/heater and private door access to the aft head. Forward of the aft stateroom to port is a head/shower. Just forward of the head to port is chart table with AC/DC ships service panel outboard. Going forward to port is spacious settee and directly across to starboard is a U-shaped settee with convertible dinette w/filler cushion. Both settees are covered with beautiful white ultra-leather. Spacious salon head room is 6 feet 5 inches.

Going forward from the main salon is the master stateroom and features an island queen berth with private head and separate shower. Peek-A-Boo blinds cover opening ports and port lights. Ocean Air Blinds cover all opening hatches in the interior, plus canvas covers for the exterior.
