CONSTRUCTION                             Built in 1972.  GRP construction with burgundy topsides and blue decks, self draining aft cockpit with wheel steering, 5 berth internal layout in 2 cabins with around 6ft headroom, Bermudan sloop rig.

SAILS  & RIG:                           Slab reefing mainsail with mainsail cover.  Genoa roller reefing system with furling genoa.  Cruising chute.  Alloy mast and boom and stainless steel standing rigging.

ENGINE:                                            Perkins 26HP 3 cylinder diesel inboard engine with freshwater cooling.  30 gallon fuel tank.  Shaft drive to fixed propeller.  Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries.  Cruising speed under engine is around 7 knots.

DECK GEAR:                              Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, sprayhood, dodgers, cockpit cover, cockpit cushions, sheet winches and halyard winches, outboard bracket on pushpit, davits, anchor with chain and warp, kedge anchor with chain and warp, mooring warps and fenders.

SAFETY GEAR:                           Fire extinguisher, gas detector, rope cutter on propeller, manual bilge pump.

NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:        Compass, echo sounder, log, wind speed and wind direction, DSC/VHF radio, windvane at masthead, Autopilot, GPS, radar reflector, clock and barometer, navigation lights and steaming light.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:            She has an Eberspacher hot air diesel heating system. 240 volt ringmain.  Her galley has a gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, pressurised hot and cold water supply to the sink.  Hot water is supplied by gas water heater.  Separate heads compartment has a marine toilet.  Blue pattern upholstery with curtains and carpets. 

ACCOMMODATION:                   She has 5 berths in 2 cabins including 2 “V” berths in the forward cabin and 3 berths in the saloon. 

REMARKS:                                “Chalky” was purchased by her current owner in 2001 and he has enjoyed extensive local cruising on the East Coast.  He tells us that the Halmatic 880 is a very robustly built boat and he has maintained her in first class condition and has recently added new internal upholstery.  Her engine was serviced in 2012 and her windscreen was also recently replaced.
