CONSTRUCTION: Hand laid bi-directional fiberglass hull cored with Airex. Deck is hand laid fiberglass with a Klegecell core and molded 4” bulwarks with a teak cap. Lead ballast is externally fastened with stainless steel keel bolts. Ventilation is achieved with 4 opening portlights (with screens) and custom teak/Lexan hatches. Four additional fixed portlights and Lexan/teak companionway hatch provide natural light below decks. Satin varnished interior teak, ash ceilings, and white perforated headliner finish the living space Teak bowsprit.
ACCOMODATIONS: Descending the companionway: the GALLEY is located to port. Space is nicely designed with a deep stainless steel sink, Force 10 CNG 3 burner stove/oven. A large well insulated ice box is incorporated into the counter. Drawers, dry storage lockers and sliding storage give many versatile and ample storage locations for food, pots and pans and galley ware. MAIN SALON: consists of a full length settee to port and a settee with pilot berth to starboard.  A large custom folding teak table is to starboard. Folding nav station to starboard allows easy access to quarterberth.  HEAD: The head is located starboard. Par electric head, Stainless steel sink with pressurized hot/cold water, telescope shower, lockers outboard for storage. V-BERTH is bright and airy with varnished ash ceilings and handsome chain locker door forward. V-berth has a comfortable filler and insert. Opening hatch above provides ventillation. Access to chain locker. Storage is provided in a large hanging locker to port and lockers and cubbies below the V-berth. The forward cabin and head share a door allowing privacy in the forward cabin.
ENGINE/MECHANICAL:
• Yanmar 27hp 3GMF diesel engine (approx. 850 hours) fresh water cooled through a heat exchanger and a wet exhaust with two Vetus plastic mufflers. Equipped with external Racor fuel filter and Groco raw water strainer.
• Yanmar engine panel mounted at helm including gauges for oil pressure, RPM’s, temperature, and hour meter.
• High output alternator with Balmar battery charging/monitoring system. 1” bronze shaft with a traditional flexible stuffing box. Max Prop three-bladed feathering propeller.
• Hot/cold pressurized water (system added in 1995) includes a 6-gallon hot water tank heated by engine
• Cockpit shower
• Tank-tender system monitors all tanks.
• Fiberglass waste holding tank fiberglassed into keel.
• Small shower sump tank in forward bilge.
ELECTRICAL
• 12 volt system powered by two Deka 8632DT gel batteries. Charging is accomplished by the engine driven alternator and the Balmar charge monitor.
• Three position battery switch and Bass main breaker are mounted below the nav. Station desk.
• Marinetics breaker panel (20 markebreakers), with volt and amp meters is mounted beneath the companionway under the bridge deck
COCKPIT
• Sail locker to port offers access to the water heater and two CNG tanks as well as gear storage.
• Lazerette locker allows access to the second muffler, seacocks, fire extinguisher, engine heat exchanger expansion tank and additional gear storage.
• Edson wheel steering with Danforth ,Constellation compass mounted on the binnacle.
SPARS/RIGGING:
• Anodized aluminum mast and boom.
• Reef Away Metalmast Marine in mast furling.
• Schaeffer 2100 Furler & Headstay (new 2005).
• (2) Barlow #16 halyard winches on mast.
• Stays and shrouds 1/4 x 19 SS wire with Merriam integral toggle turnbuckles.
• Traveler mounted forward of dodger.
• All sail controls led to cockpit.

• Standard Galaxy VHF at nav. station.

COMMENTS: SYRAH is a beautifully executed double ender from the drawing boards of Chuck Paine. She turns heads wherever she goes. Her present owner made many impressive upgrades and refinements to this great boat. She is in excellent condition and ready for coastal or extended cruising.
