Hillyards had built boats from approx 1920, although building numbers were not allocated until after WW2 when the numbers commenced at 400.It is believed that as many as 800 boats ranging from 2.5 - 29 ton may have been built during the Boat yards lifetime. Lilani had been lying ashore at Bucklers Hard for several years. Her full cover had finally disintegrated over time; having been out of the water had taken its toll. Lilani was purchased by Bucklers Hard Boat Builders Ltd in 2004 as a project and was restored to her former glory. Now in need of a new home!

Recent history and restoration work

Lilani had been lying ashore at Bucklers Hard for several years. Her full cover had finally disintegrated, time; having been out of the water had taken its toll on the old lady, she was in great need of a lot of

TLC!

Lilani was purchased by Bucklers Hard Boat Builders Ltd, in 2004 as a project to be restored, during the quiet periods in the yard, hence the period of restoration time.

Small and well enclosed .Wheel steering and engine controls to port , full length seats both sides. Stbd seat has small lifting section to access bilge pump

Deck

Stem head / forestay fitting incorporating bow roller. There are two new galvanised fairleads mounted on the capping rail, amidships, Sampson post ,and two new 10" new wooden deck cleats.

Individual 316 grade polished stainless steel chain plates , steel painted tabernacle.

Full length mahogany handrails new 2011 are fitted to both cabin tops, the genoa is controlled by turning blocks leading to the sheet winches, and can be cleated off on the coamings.

On the aft deck is mounted a single c/l Samson post and fairleads Port and stbd.
