Hillyards had built boats from approx 1920, although building numbers were not allocated until after WW2 when the numbers commenced at 400.It is believed that as many as 800 boats ranging from 2.5 - 29 ton may have been built during the Boat yards lifetime. Lilani had been lying ashore at Bucklers Hard for several years. Her full cover had finally disintegrated over time; having been out of the water had taken its toll. Lilani was purchased by Bucklers Hard Boat Builders Ltd in 2004 as a project and was restored to her former glory. Now in need of a new home! Lilani was purchased by Bucklers Hard Boat Builders Ltd, in 2004 as a project to be restored, during the quiet periods in the yard, hence the period of restoration time.
