Marten Marine 72

The Marten 72 is designed for the performance-oriented owner who wishes to combine the sparkle of a day sailing yacht, with the ability to make fast comfortable blue water passages. It is designed also to be a top performer at regattas.

The yacht is built from pre preg carbon fiber materials normally only seen in high performance racing yachts and America's Cup Yachts. By combining the talents of designers Reichel/Pugh, SP Technologies design engineers and the experience of Marten Yachts, a yacht of outstanding pedigree has been created, possessing race-bred performance qualities with a spacious, functional layout.

Description of the refit done in 2009:

Hull painted in Awlgrip dark grey

Interior painted in Awlgrip snow white

Modification of the aft cabin into 2 double cabins

Refitted of the teak deck with white seals

Standing rigging in carbon EC6 + high-tech running rigging including new blocks

New set of North 3DL Carbon sails (see above description)

Upgraded hydraulic power unit with wireless remote control for all manoeuvres

Refitted full electricity Mastervolt

Upgraded plumbing

Portlight replaced

Interior floorboards in carbon
