This Chris Craft Sail Yacht 35 is a sloop rigged, full keel, center cockpit sailing vessel. The Sail Yacht, later renamed the Caribbean 35 holds a number of distinctive "first" honors. She was the first fiberglass boat built by Chris Craft and believed to be the first designed by an outside firm. Sparkman and Stephens was chosen to design Chris Craft's first sailboat, even by todays standards her sail area is modest and her horsepower is abundant. She offers a center cockpit, aft cabin arrangement with a fixed windshield forward of the companionway. The Sail Yacht 35 is an opportunity to sail a piece of history, the first production fiberglass boat from a manufacturer who captured the imagination of boat lovers everywhere. 2009 Survey on file ranks her overall vessel rating as fair.

There are complete accommodations on this boat for six people. The main cabin area sleeps four and aft cabin sleeps two persons. In the aft cabin there are two berths, each with 4" mattresses. There are drawers and ample storage space behind and below each bunk.

In the forward stateroom there are accommodations for four. Two can sleep in stacked berths in the main cabin port side, and two can sleep in the stacked berths forward on the starboard side. The interior of the boat was changed during the winter of 1972 from the original plan. Between the forward berths and the galley area is a large closet.

The main head is located just to port of the companionway wich includes a sink and built in shower. There is a secondary head between the berths in the aft cabin with a drop down sink. The toilets have been removed and flush water inlets capped.
