The new Tribute 48 express is sure to be a winner on the tournament trail and with the weekend warrior cruising the islands alike. Built with fishability, function, performance and fuel economy in mind, the X-48 is powered with the latest in diesel power from CAT, Cummins, MTU and MAN from 715hp to 900 hp with conventional propulsion systems. (PODS and JPS available on request). Unlike our typical Tributes which run in the 70 foot range, we are now offering the same quality and fishability our much larger boats are known for in a much smaller and affordable platform. This new model takes advantage of the latest in composite materials and boat building techniques that has made Tribute an industry leader for over 20 years. While our two stateroom and 2 head arrangement is what we consider the standard, our boats are true to our custom roots and await your custom touches to make it truly yours. ABOUT TRIBUTE

Freedom has formed a new partnership with Tribute Boats and offers the new and exciting line up of "Next Generation" Tributes from 42 - 82 feet in Express, Walk - Around and Convertible configurations for most models. Tributes’ story dates back more than 30 years, when a young Rich Scheffer Sr. was the head boat builder for the legendary tournament boat building pioneer, Jim Smith.  

Alongside Jim Smith,the team went on to build at the time, some of the fastest and most advanced sportfishers on the water. Following the death of Jim Smith,  Scheffer went out on his own with race car industry legend Dick Moroso as his first client and business partner.  He named the company Tribute Performance Boats, as a “Tribute” to his mentor and lifetime friend, Jim Smith. Scheffer would go on to build some of the fastest, most fuel efficient and advanced sportfishers in the industry. Additionally, the Tribute fleet has captured 3 Custom Boat Shootout Titles, the only custom builder to achieve this feat at this annual event among the industry’s best of the best in custom boats and tournament teams. 

Although the materials and equipment lists of modern day sportfishing boats have evolved significantly over the last decade, the founding principals of building the fastest, most fuel efficient and best riding boat on the water is still what drives each new design at Tribute.
