Trophy has done a nice job with the layout, and design of this 17-footer. Starting with the construction of the hull, everything is solid and well thought out. The stringers are fiberglass foam filled and the hull features a patented side foam flotation system and vinylester skin coat, which holds up very well to everyday use. The freeboard on the boat is higher than on most boats of similar size. This adds to the stability and to the sea kindly handling.

 

The 1703 is the boat to go up river with. It has a 13" draft. But when the winds pickup in the bay and the seas get rough, Trophy's unique hull design keeps you dry.
