Ericson Mk Ii Sloop

OWNER’S COMMENTS: The previous owner purchased this boat around 1995 and sailed her up until approximately 2006, when because of medical problems, he put the boat in storage. The boat was stored inside a shed at his house until I purchase her in 2010. We spent the first season cleaning and fixing anything that needed fixing and launched her in 2011. She was sailed for two seasons and is now for sale.

During this time I repaired the starboard bulkhead as detailed in the sketch provided, changed the four part block on the mainsheet traveler to six part block, and replaced the seacock in the head. The coaming, topside handrails, and cabin sole have been kept up with varnish. The interior teak has had several coats of Cetol applied. The previous owner stripped the bottom and applied a barrier coat system and then three coats of ablative paint. The topsides were repainted with Red Imron paint. While he owned her, he also installed a new fuel tank, chainplates were removed, and deck hardware was rebedded. The boat has been well-kept over the years and is a fine sailing vessel.

I had the stern repainted with Imron when we renamed the vessel.  The keel had an area of minor grounding damage at the bottom center when purchased. The spot had been repaired and according to the survey done in 2002 was percussion tested and tested with a moisture meter and found in good condition. I have had no problems since owning the boat.

BROKER’S COMMENTS: HUMDINGER shows very well for her 33 years, due to her caring owners. Please note the many upgrades and improvements, which include a 2002 Westerbeke 27 hp diesel, an epoxy barrier-coated bottom, a repaired 2012 starboard salon bulkhead, and more. She is seriously for sale and offered at a very attractive price as her owners have purchased another vessel. Thank you for your interest.
