Alden 44 Mk 1 Cutter

This is a solid well built, great sailing boat. She has beautiful traditional lines and a modern underbody with keel centerboard minimum draft of 4'11" and a skeg mounted rudder. She can go up and down the ICW with 63' vertical clearance. She has two companionways and an aft cabin for offshore passages with a proper sea berth.

PAMELA offers the arrangement sometimes referred to as the mk 1. She features V-berth forward with a bureau and hanging locker forward followed bythe maim saloon with port and starboard settees and a centerline drop leaf teak table.

A companionway ladder at the aft end of the saloon leads to a top cabin entrance hatch. Engine compartment is below and the head is to port and the galley is to starboard and provide access to the aft cabin. The owner's aft cabin has a full sized aft facing chart table to starboard and a double berth with custom innerspring mattress (2005) to port. There is a companionway to the cockpit from this aft cabin.

In the Alden tradition, the whole of the interior is finished in the highest quality teaks, fittings and furnishings using only the best craftsmanship to give her a warm traditional feel throughout. The sole is solid teak and rock maple. Teak valances for the curtains in the saloon, custom brass bulkhead swivel lights, custom cabinets in the galley add to the custom boat feel. There are crew covers for the cushions, except for the aft berth. Towels and linens for six are included. One picture shows cushion uncovered. All berth have lee cloths.
