Maurice Griffiths Design Golden Hind 31 - New arrival

The  very popular Golden Hind, a larger version of the very capable Eventide was designed by the  renowned Maurice Griffiths for cruising and indeed a number of Owners chose this handy-size,      go-anywhere yacht for their circumnavigation of the  world...  a testimonial to this boats abilities.  At one time they held the record for the most single design to have done transatlantic crossings.

Built in Plymouth by the equally renowned Terry Erskine, hull number 190, she incorporates steel ribs strengthening and stiffening the GRP hull to more securely cope with adverse weather.

This example has headsail furling plus in-mast furling main, is well equipped and ready to go. A shoal draft with long ballast keel and bilge plates allows her to safely explore creeks and remote anchorages and in tidal waters she has the ability to take the bottom  and safely dry-out upright. Ideal for cruising and easily handled when shorthanded.

Lying just inside the Med’ she is ideally located to head east and explore the Mediterranean or go south into the Atlantic and head for the Canary Islands and beyond.
