TE ARAWA is a beautiful classic with good speed, comfortable motion in a seaway, nice interior, fiberglass decks and a sugar scoop stern with a swim ladder. It's fair to say that it is an understatement that TE ARAWA has been "lightly" used. She was originally located at the Royal Yacht Club of Toronto and spent the first 15 years mostly “on the hard” in the winter. This is the main reason why the current owner purchased her. This Passport 41 is a boat with a nice selection of electronics and many updates. Overall, TE ARAWA is a nicely equipped, performance cruising yacht. See the full specifications for more details and call today. She is at our docks and ready for your inspection. Layout The Passport 41 is one of Robert Perry's outstanding designs. The layout is very functional and the interior has a luxurious feeling as a result of the outstanding, one inch solid, Burmese teak with staving throughout the boat as well as the very nice, all “golden”, hand-rubbed teak. Passport Yachts and other top builders today all use veneers due to the shortage and price of Burmese teak, so you will not find this classic carpentry in yachts built today. Classic, decorative touches such as a brass hanging lamp and brass bell to announce cocktails and dinner, contribute to the overall traditional feel of the main cabin. Starting forward is the spacious owners’ cabin with lots of storage space and access to the portside head with separate shower stall. The double V-berth has a custom made innerspring mattress. Next aft is the very pleasant main salon with a U-shaped settee and large table to port and shelves and lockers outboard. The table seats four or six people in comfort. In addition, the table can be removed and replaced by board and upholstery and converts into a very spacious double/queen size bed. Opposite to starboard is a single settee with an end table and hanging locker forward and 2 lockers and shelf outboard. Lee cloths on the settee make it a safe and secure sea berth. Aft of the starboard settee is a navigation station/ship’s office with a full-size chart table and an upholstered seat that is comfortable on any tack. The navigation station is well equipped for cruising with communication and navigation equipment including computer, Icom VHF, Sirius radio and weather, electrical panels, stereo and CD players (one build into stereo, another 6-disc changer) and custom iPOD connections (in the starboard stateroom). Aft of the nav station is a guest cabin with a double berth. This stateroom is large enough to walk in with a large hanging locker and drawers, sink, separate A/C and a secret, hidden steel vault. The spacious, U-shaped galley is to port as you come down the companionway ladder. Highlights
