Point Counterpoint II is a double-hulled, US Coast Guard approved seagoing vessel, 195 feet long by 38 feet wide, its hull 12 feet high from bottom to deck built in Norfolk, VA. Stunning and seaworthy, it is the only vessel of its kind in the world – a floating concert hall, art museum and theater that has traveled over 400,000 miles on the U. S. inland waterways, the Great Lakes and East Coast, as well as the Caribbean and the major waterways of Northern Europe, including the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.  As journalist Ridge Kennedy stated, “The S.S. Point Counterpoint II looks like a figment of Captain Nemo’s imagination or a leftover prop from ‘Star Wars.’But its mission, as it travels American waterways, is to bring arts out of hiding and onto the waterfront.” She is all steel and double hulled for ocean travel.
