Horizon V80

Delivery available Spring 2015!  This brand new 2015 Horizon V80 motoryacht is currently scheduled to arrive in Newport Beach, CA in April – she will be a fully-loaded vessel with Furuno electronics, water maker, a custom interior and a full custom AV system. Equipped with CAT C32 1622HP engines, the V80 will also feature ABT zero speed stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, and everything needed to cruise anywhere from Alaska to the Caribbean! 

While the majority of yachts in use today are full motoryachts, the benefits of a cockpit are fast becoming recognized as offering tremendous flexibility in use and increasing the overall user friendliness of the yacht. The cockpit offers many alluring attributes such as easy ER and crew access; space for fishing and watersports; increased storage; safe and easy access to the vessel from floating docks, and a stunning profile. With those in mind, Horizon began constructing a V80, designed specifically for the U.S. West Coast, in 2014 that incorporates the needs of our local boaters.

With a 20’6” beam, the V series allows for an interior design that makes it feel like a much larger vessel. Combining natural lighting via oversize windows, a single level main deck, and 4 ensuite staterooms -- plus separate crew quarters – you have the makings of an incredible yacht. The staterooms were designed to create an open and light feel with the full beam master amidship, his and her sinks, a walk in closet, California King Bed and oversize shower. Complimented by a VIP as well as twin port and starboard staterooms, and a washer dryer the fwd. accommodation, the V80 ensures your guests the ultimate in luxurious living.

A walk up bar with a refrigerator, ice maker and wine cooler is located just aft of the galley and flows nicely into the salon. This area was designed to be relaxed and is ideal for entertaining or just to sit and watch a movie on the 50” TV. For privacy away from the galley, there is an electric partition that raises between the salon and galley, allowing the galley to be utilized without interfering with the gatherings in the salon. The fully-equipped galley accommodates plenty of storage and counter space and features high quality appliances as well as easy access to the side deck via the port and starboard wing doors. On nice, cool days, these doors can be opened for a natural flow of air from the galley through to the stainless steel aft deck sliding doors.

A general rule in design is if you sleep eight, you should accommodate eight for dining; not only did the V80 follow this rule, she exceeded it by providing for ten at the dinette. The aft deck provides comfortable dining for eight and a more relaxed, alfresco-style dining; the flybridge boat deck can be utilized for a more intimate setting, and the enclosed skylounge offers an amazing panoramic view from the windows.

The addition of the cockpit creates a very versatile area, and in conjunction with the aft deck, makes it the perfect location to relax while at anchor and watch the water sports activities or fishing. A hydraulic swim platform enables you to carry a jet ski in addition to a tender on the boat deck, and when partially submerged, you can keep the removable rails for your own little spa deck. Horizon has also accommodated a day head on main deck that is accessed from the aft deck, so there is no need to enter the salon to use the head during outdoor activities.

This particular V80 includes the enclosed bridge that ensures cruising in cooler or inclement weather is a breeze. The full 360-degree windows provide excellent visibility, and the twin helm chairs and aft seating make cruising a social event. Just aft of the enclosed bridge is the boat deck, which houses a full wet bar, seating and just about the most perfect place to enjoy the sunset with guests. The new foredeck design provides not only seating but also a sun pad for enjoying those lazy days at anchor, with the cool breezes coming in from the ocean. We are sure this will be one of your favorite places to sit and escape from reality, even if for a little while.

A twin bed crew cabin can be accessed either from the cockpit deck or via the internal staircase in the salon; this means the crew can enter the engine room without disturbing the guests on the aft deck or salon, and also allows safe engine room checks to be done while at sea.

On a final note – while most vessel showings and viewings are completed during the day, we invite you to take time to visit the V80 at night. She has a custom interior and exterior lighting package with full LED lights, under water lights and some very creative lighting to enhance the space and create a natural, warm ambiance that carries from day to night.
