SUNNY HILL was built as one of the three, famous Colombaio motor sailors which were, at the time, revolutionary charter vessels.The yacht is very sea worthy and is a safe and comfortable passage maker in all conditions, equally at ease under sail as under engine power. She has been expertly renovated and refitted over a period of two years and only took to the water again in the summer of 2010.

This very thorough refit meant sand blasting the entire hull and superstructure, not only outside, but also inside wherever accessible, including inside all tanks, and building up the paint again with primers, fillers, adhesive layers and top coatings. The engine room and all mechanical installations have been totally re-fitted; changing for new whatever was needed (f.ex. new main engine, gear box and gen sets) and fully factory overhauling whatever other equipment was left. Likewise the rigging, where the masts and booms were sandblasted and repainted, standing rigging renewed and of course running rigging renewed, too. New sails were then supplied by Quantum. Navigation, communication and domestic appliances have equally been renewed and modernised and a state of the art AV entertainment system has gone in. The entire main deck bridge and accommodation has been taken out and new paneling and furniture installed, just like the galley on the lower deck is totally new. Left is the pleasant guest accommodation, but which has seen renovation and adjustments to wood panels and of course has been renewed in all critical areas, like mattresses and bedding, carpeting etc etc.

SUNNY HILL now sails as practically speaking a new vessel, true to her Dutch and Northern European pedigree. The rigorous work, all done in Sweden, using the best subcontractors and manufacturers, has been faithful to the original Dutch design and construction.

The main deck and top of superstructure seating groups and spa pool areas are extremely attractive and inviting and you will immediately see why this famous “Colombaio” has always been the darling of discerning charterers.

With SUNNY HILL’s commercial registration she can again provide charter guests with the tip top standard they were used to on the original, or be reserved as a very pleasant, spacious and distinguished private yacht, undertaking long passages or leisurely bay and island cruises.

The owner’s cabin is a full beam suite situated aft and has a large en suite bathroom incl. bath, shower and closet.

Guests:

2 double cabins with en suite shower and closet.

2 double cabins with one fixed and one folding bed each.

All guest cabins are situated amid ship.                      

Crew: 

1 x single Captains cabin with en suite shower and closet.

1 x single Engineers cabin with en suite shower and closet.

2 x double cabins with single bunks.

1 x separate shower room with closet.
