McGregor IV is one of six MG38’s manufactured, the Humphreys design brief was to produce a good racing boat with extended cruising potential for the family. McGregor IV has certainly lived up to the brief having been raced offshore and cruised extensively by her owner of the last 4 years. She has proven her capability as a fast but stable yacht in two Fastnet races, the Round Ireland race and cruising waters between Northern Ireland, the Scilly Isles, both sides of the English Channel, as well as the inland waterways of the Netherlands.

The accommodation offers up to nine berths in four cabins with 6'4" maximum headroom. Forecabin with V berth, hanging locker, opening hatch to foredeck and further stowage. Saloon consisting of a U-shaped settee to port which can convert to a double berth, table with folding leaves, small settee berth to starboard and useful stowage in lockers and beneath berths. Galley equipped with a gimballed 2-burner gas cooker with oven and grill, stainless steel double sink, coolboxes and storage. Forward facing chart table with navigation equipment and chart storage. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, washbasin and shower to starboard. Twin aft cabins each with a double berth, hanging locker, opening portlight and stowage areas. Pressurised hot and cold water system via calorifier. Eberspacher D5 diesel fired warm air heating system. Blue upholstery with teak and holly sole boards throughout.
