The Semi/Full displacement hull with extra 850kg of lead ballast gives exceptional sea keeping inspecially with her Flopper Stopper Antroll device for offshore cruising. Ideal for cruising in northern waters, with covered Aftcockpit and walk around decks and excellent steering visibility inside and out. We lifte out Puffin in September 2013, sprayed off and new antifoul and anodes and a new PSY Non Drip Shatfseal and new Delco AGM Batteries. PUFFIN ist he ideal floating appartment for elder sailors who want no more Oilskins on, just close the slidingdoors and cruising around with no more Diesel consumption as bevor with there sailboat. In 2003 we owned a fast Balticat 43 Catamaran which we lost in a fierce Tornado in Italy. In 2004 I build fomyself a small wooden Tugboat which we tuged in the Lagoon of Venice, the dutch Ijsselmeer, in the wunderfull archipelago of Stockholm and two times down the blue Danube. In 2007 we found Puffin on the river Maas in Holland bought her after seeing what tuff Trawler this is and brought her to well known dutch Boatyard ALTENA where all electronics componets, like the newest state of art designed Raytheon Touchscreen chartplotters, DSC VHF, AIS, Mastervolt charger and Invertersystem, Mastervolt Generator, hydraulic steeringsystem and Raymarine autopilot , Dieselheating and a lot more was build in profesionaly. In Portimao/ Portugal I installed a Sailrig with a spezial Antiroll device called Flopper Stoppers which we have seen on the most US Trawlers. Puffin has now a Staysail with 8m2which helps running downwind with 40% less fuel consumption. 850kg of lead ballast was installed in the keel and fixed with 20kg of epoxy to give her more uprighting moment. Since this time we cruised from Holland down to Belgium, England and Brittany , crossed the Biskay and down to Gibraltar and the Med up and down . We feelde always save also in rough seas and gusts. Now PUFFIN is looking for a new owner but we have other plans. She is ideal for elder sailors want to change from sailing to a Trawler, to an floating Appartement. PUFFIN is in best condition ever and well maintained allt he years which a lot of stuff on bord. Technical Specifications: Accommodation: The side decks provide easy access forward and aft, whilst 3 bulkwark doors allow easy access to pontoon or tender. The large comfortabel Cockpit is fully covered and offers excellent space for chairs and table. The cockpit can be easely covered ,either with a full closing awning with windows or only aft with a white net for sunprotection. At the aft end of the cockpit is a freshwater shower (hot/cold), extensive swim platform and fold up swimming ladder. The Flybridge is accessed by an SS ladder to the starboard side of the door to the main saloon. There is enough space here for sunloungers and the tender which can be hoisted up with the mastboom can be stored save. The helm seat is fully adjustable and the hinged arch gives plenty of room to house the Digital Radar aswell Sat TV dome and SSb and VHF antennas aswell windspeed/direction system. A large Bimintop gives shade and 3 large seats enough place to have a nip. All instrumentation are in front of the helm, like Chartplotter, Enginecontroll, Thruster aswell freefall anchorsystem.
