Camper & Nicholsons Cutter Rigged Ketch - One of a kind!
This is a true Camper & Nicholsons built sailing yacht to a Laurent Giles design drawing together many years of yacht building excellence with the use of modern technology. A twin engine ketch, graceful elegant and impressively fast. LAMADINE is the winning combination of unique design skill and great yacht building craftsmanship resulted in producing a light displacement vessel unsurpassed in comfort, performance and seaworthiness. LAMADINE has never been a finer yacht than today. LAMADINE is often regarded as a sister ship to the legendary BLUE LEOPARD, although at 97 feet she is a little shorter, she has very similar accommodation and the same thoroughbred performance. Construction is a multi-stringer system over mahogany frames with four layers of laminated mahogany and cedar planking all glued together and tightened by bronze woodscrews and rivets. The floors, mast girders and engine beds are of light alloy. Decks are composite foam sandwich and plywood with internal framing and teak laid. The whole emphasis in construction is light weight combined with high strength and robustness, achieved by efficient use of high quality materials. From her launch to the present day LAMADINE has been lavished with care and attention to her fabric and systems to keep her in fine condition and abreast of modern technology where possible. Her most recent major, of regular refits was carried in 2012 (March & December) where substantial improvements were made to ensure her a safe and reliable future.
