Blue Water 40 Islander

The Bluewater Sport Sedan attracts the customer who desires comfort with a sea kind hull, throw in some trawler type amenities and the result is this spacious, comfortable cruiser. Visibility is basically good in the standing or setting position from the lower helm because there are no bulkheads blocking the aft view. Being forward trawler style, with a door adjacent, the helm not only provides good visibility forward but makes handling the boat with minimum crew much easier when anchoring or making starboard-side-to-landings. The cabin area has 410 sq. ft. of living space with room around furnishings to walk easily. The below deck suite is accessed by going down four circular steps starting at the starboard side of the lower helm. The head compartment is forward at the bottom of the steps. Aft and to port is the way to the lower forward cabin. With sitting headroom, the ?suite? sleeps four in two double bunks. Back in the salon walk trough the 6? sliding glass door to the cockpit. The cockpit is plenty large enough for several pieces of deck furniture. The starboard corner of the cockpit has a cockpit door to the swim platform. Climb up the ladder from the cockpit to the sundeck, which is the top of the main cabin. Forward from the sundeck and up one step to the flybridge area. The helm is centerline with sideways seating on port and starboard for two, five total.
