Custom Cartwright 36 Pilothouse Cutter
EDITH ROSE is a beautifully finished steel cutter who has her origins from the drafting table of famed naval architect Jerry Cartwright. Jerry knew what it took in order to have a safe and stable off-shore cruiser based on his knowledge and vast experiences. This vessel was professionally built in Ontario, Canada and her interior was finished by a very skillful craftsman who primarily used cherry and mahogany. Her current owners even had a very knowledgeable local professional on board to do roll and stability tests and, as a result, extra ballast was added so that she could be even safer. Her hull was constructed using 3/16-inch steel plate on ½-inch solid steel chine bars. Her deck was flush-built for safe footwork while on deck and she sports a deep and safe cockpit. On those nasty passages that sometime occur, she boasts a very comfortable pilothouse with full instrumentation and good visibility. Everything about EDITH ROSE exudes strength, comfort and safety for bluewater passage-making even though she has never left the confines of Lake Ontario. She has had many recent upgrades to make her an even more attractive value. Some of these include: - A new cutter rig - New refrigeration - New wind generator - New battery charger and batteries - New GPS Chartplotter - New dinghy and motor - Anchor windlass was rebuilt - And more. From her unique profile and finish to her gorgeous interior to her obvious strength and beauty, EDITH ROSE is a real head-turner. She is ready, willing and able to take her new owners just about anywhere they wish to travel.
