This 1921 Cruiser Yacht is presumably a Henry Rasmussen design, built at his grandfathers yard in Svendborg/ Denmark, the yard that later became the Henry Rasmussen Vaerft. Original plans from the Abeking & Rasmussen archive are available. The yacht sailed under the same ongoing ownership for more than 35 years and is now beeing offered for sale. S/Y "Grosser Bär" was built from carvel Oak planks on Oak and steel ribs on an Oak keel. The hull has been glass sheeted during the 1980´s, the boat is in stunnigly good and sound condition. "Grosser Bär" can be inspected in Northern Germany/ Baltic Sea.
